Position Summary
The IT Systems Engineer plays a key role in supporting and executing infrastructure, networking, and endpoint-related projects for ArcLight’s clients and internal systems. This position works closely with senior engineers and project managers to assist in the implementation, configuration, and documentation of technical solutions. While the role includes occasional helpdesk support, its primary focus is on project delivery, system builds, and environment migrations.
The Systems Engineer is expected to be proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong foundation in IT systems and the desire to grow in a project-driven engineering role.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the deployment, configuration, and documentation of infrastructure projects, including server builds, network implementations, and system upgrades.
- Support fellow team members with system migrations, hardware refreshes, cloud service integrations, and security rollouts.
- Perform hands-on configuration of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, and other core IT systems.
- Prepare and stage equipment for project rollout, including imaging devices, configuring endpoints, and verifying software compliance.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including configurations, change logs, and post-implementation notes.
- Follow structured change management practices and adhere to internal deployment standards.
- Generate project plans and project quotes.
- Willingness, ability, and desire to work directly with clients in a professional setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a help desk position where interfacing with end users both in-person and remotely was key to your success.
- 2+ Years of hands-on experience in a Systems Admin, Desktop Engineering, or Project-Based IT role.
- Direct experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and related infrastructure.
- Familiarity with the setup and implementation of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, RDSH, RDVH, and other related Windows Server functionality.
- Comfortable working on technical implementation projects and collaborating across teams.
- Experience performing remote and on-site hardware/software deployments.
- Ability to follow structured procedures and contribute to project documentation.
- Experience with Remote Management & Monitoring Platforms (NinjaRMM, CW Automate, Datto RMM, etc.)
- Experience with Ticketing Systems (Freshdesk, AutoTask, CW PSA, ServiceNow, etc.)
Experience (Plusses)
- Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
- Experience building & deploying 3CX VoIP phone systems.
- Familiarity with documentation platforms (Hudu, ITGlue, Confluence)
- Exposure to regulated industries and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, SOC)
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, and basic networking principles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Google IT Support Professional Certificate

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year based on experience
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
